Hudson Talent Solutions – Responsible & Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence: Our Commitment to Core Values and Responsible AI Management

Our Commitment

We believe that artificial intelligence has the power to fundamentally transform how we work, innovate, and serve our customers, clients, and people. Guided by this belief, we are committed to harnessing AI in ways that are bold in ambition yet firmly grounded in responsibility and ethics.

We are committed to using AI responsibly, transparently, and ethically to empower our people, clients, and candidates. Our approach is guided by Hudson’s core values and strengthened by governance practices aligned with ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for responsible AI management.

At Hudson, our approach to artificial intelligence is firmly rooted in our core values, which guide every decision and innovation. These values shape how we harness AI to empower our people, clients, and candidates, ensuring that technology amplifies human potential while remaining grounded in ethics and responsibility. See our values here.

Seize Opportunities

We embrace innovation that aligns with our ethics and amplifies human potential. By piloting AI technologies, we seek to improve fairness, efficiency, the human experience e. Every AI system undergoes a formal AI Impact and Risk Assessment prior to adoption, ensuring safety, transparency, and equitable recruitment outcomes. Our AI Lifecycle Management practices track and test systems from design through deployment, monitoring, and retirement with the goal of accountability at every stage.

Responsible innovation is seen as a strategic opportunity to serve people better, not as a shortcut to replace them. By applying responsible and ethical AI practices, we enhance the experience, quality, fairness, and precision of our talent solutions. This ensures better outcomes for clients and candidates alike, creating value through innovation that reflects our human-centered approach with equitable recruitment outcomes.

Own It

Accountability is central to our responsible use of AI. Hudson maintains a formal, documented AI Policy, reviewed quarterly by our AI Governance Committee, which includes leaders from Talent, Technology, Data Governance, Compliance, and Ethics. This committee is responsible for approving, auditing, and updating all AI systems. Roles and responsibilities for those involved in designing, deploying, or overseeing AI systems are clearly defined and published.

We continually engage with thought leaders across academia, data privacy, regulators, and industry peers to shape the future of AI and innovate responsibly.

Our AI Policy is integrated with frameworks for Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, Information Security (ISO 27001), and our Code of Ethics, forming a coherent governance ecosystem. We couple our integrated frameworks with our principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.  We provide a reporting and escalation channel for employees, clients, and candidates to raise concerns about AI use, bias, or data handling, and all reports are investigated promptly and transparently.

Heart of Hudson

People are at the center of everything we do, including our use of AI. AI supports human judgment, ensuring empathy, experience, and discretion in every decision. We continuously test and monitor systems for bias and inclusiveness, measuring both intended and unintended impacts. We do recognize that AI may impact the workforce and provide resources for our teams to continually upskill and sharpen their capabilities related to AI.

Resources behind AI systems—such as data sources, tooling, computing infrastructure, and human expertise—are documented to maintain clarity and control. Our teams receive regular training on AI ethics, fairness, explainability, and responsible innovation. We foster a culture of curiosity, humility, and care, ensuring that innovation reflects the humanity at the Heart of Hudson.

Create Lasting Relationships

We make it clear when and how AI is used in our services, ensuring that clients and candidates know when AI is involved in sourcing, matching, or communications. We work only with AI vendors who share our commitment to transparency, fairness, and privacy.  Our AI management practices are closely integrated with our supplier governance framework, so vendors must document their data sources, how they reduce bias, and how their models can be explained. We encourage clients and candidates to ask questions or share feedback, fostering openness and trust in our process.

Drive Excellence

We are committed to the highest standards of ethics, quality, and ongoing improvement in how we use AI. Our AI Management System, based on ISO 42001, sets clear rules for good governance, strong performance, and compliance. We regularly check our AI systems through audits, to ensure they are reliable, safe, and fair.  We continually compare our AI practices with international standards and new regulations. Four times a year, we review our AI Policy to make sure it stays effective and supports Hudson’s mission and the needs of our stakeholders.

2. Governance & Responsible AI Management

Hudson is committed to harnessing AI in ways that are bold in ambition yet firmly grounded in responsibility and ethics. Our governance practices are aligned with ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for responsible AI management, ensuring safety, transparency, and accountability throughout the AI lifecycle.

Governance Practices

Our AI Governance Committee oversees all aspects of AI management, from system approval and auditing to policy updates. Integration with other governance frameworks—Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, Information Security (ISO 27001), and our Code of Ethics—ensures a unified and rigorous approach to responsible AI.

Responsible AI Lifecycle Management

We maintain robust AI Lifecycle Management practices, tracking each system from design through deployment, ongoing monitoring, and eventual retirement. Formal assessments and continuous oversight ensure that every AI tool we adopt meets our standards for safety, transparency, and accountability.

Transparency & Reporting

Transparency is at the heart of our responsible AI management. Hudson provides clear channels for stakeholders to report concerns about AI use, potential bias, or data handling. All reports are addressed promptly and with full transparency, reinforcing our commitment to ethical practices.

Continuous Improvement & Training

To ensure that our teams remain at the forefront of responsible AI innovation, we offer ongoing training on AI ethics, fairness, explainability, and inclusiveness. This commitment to continuous improvement helps us adapt to evolving standards and maintain the highest levels of responsible AI management.

Protecting Privacy & Data Integrity

AI is only as ethical as the data it uses. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and all relevant global privacy regulations. Data is used exclusively for legitimate business purposes—not for surveillance or profiling. We apply encryption, access controls, retention limits, and ongoing audits to protect confidentiality and integrity. We maintain full transparency on what data is collected, how it is processed, and how individuals’ rights are protected.

Transparency & Explainability

Stakeholders deserve to understand how AI affects them. We provide clear communication about when and where AI is used and its purpose. We maintain documentation and audit trails of all AI systems to support traceability and explanation of automated insights or recommendations.

Our AI systems are designed to support our talent experts, not replace them. In alignment with global regulations, we provide clear notice when automated tools are used in decisions impacting your employment or opportunities. You have the right to request an explanation, contest an outcome, and have that decision reviewed by a member of the Hudson team.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

Our approach to responsible AI is dynamic—not static. We maintain a comprehensive registry of AI systems and perform periodic risk and impact assessments. Each system is evaluated for ethical performance, data quality, and fairness, and updated or retired as necessary. We integrate lessons learned from internal audits, stakeholder feedback, and external developments to refine our framework. This disclosure is publicly updated to reflect progress, new controls, and regulatory changes.

For Our Clients & Candidates

You can trust that Hudson uses AI responsibly, ethically, and with care for your dignity and opportunity. You can expect:

  • Clear disclosure when AI is involved in any process that affects you.
  • Assurance that decisions are reviewed by a qualified Hudson professional.
