Situation
GSK needed to recruit 1,100 new salespeople in 300+ cities (including tier-three cities) across China. In order to have the resources needed to launch new products in the market, recruitment needed to be completed over a period of 9 months.
Journey to success
Given the tight timeline, competitive market, and the large volume of recruitment needed, the Hudson RPO team needed to find innovative ways to reach candidates in China’s tier-three cities — many of whom weren’t actively looking for roles. The team leveraged multiple sourcing channels including advertising, internal channels, databases, WeChat and social media to start proactively sourcing talent in this market.
